Consulting, planning, and construction management for the 200 kWp PV-plant on top of the IKEA shopping center in St. Gallen.
The 1’012 south-facing solar modules are held in place and weighed down against wind forces by gravel, which in addition is used as roof protection. High efficiency solar modules (crystalline technology) with a nominal power of 200 watts were installed. That means this power plant has an output of 200’000 watts on a sunny summer day and a yearly production of about 190’000 kWh solar electricity.
As the client representative and specialist construction manager, energieburo ran the two-tier tender procedure, in which construction work was put to tender for a turn-key power plant from mounting system to grid connection. The challenging architectural integration was done in collaboration with the architectural firm Clerici Architects, St Gallen.
